There is a warning posted on the ASI120MC product descrption saying
•The lens can be screwed in too far, result in a scratch on the protect window! Please adjust it very slowly! Don’t turn it beyond the focus at infinity!

Is that true for recent production? I have a newly purchased 120MC and, as far as I can tell, the included all-sky lens at furthest range is not going to touch the protect window at its furthest ranges.

Haven't been able to test the camera so far - clouds every night since the camera arrived.

Hi Joan

I have just measured my lens etc. on my new 120MC and you are correct. The maximum protrusion of the lens when screwed all the way in is 0.25mm but the recess in the camera body is 0.75mm thus giving a safe clearance. :P
