Im thinking of buying hyperstar for my 8 inch celestron and need to buy a camera for it.
Was thinking of cooled zwoi1600 but what is the lightest battery compatible for this camera?
I need to stay lightweight for travel purposes.

Alternatively is there a non cooled version of this camera?

Any better cameras you might recommend.

Any other suggestions?

Sorry but with hyperstar c8 and mount you are talking about 20 kg.
So you need some power for mount and computer as well - therefore some heavy duty battery.
But there's uncooled version of 1600.

Well I have the evolution 8 which has its own internal battery and my laptop battery is very long lasting. So Im guessing its really just the need for the camera Im thinking of.
I have a lightweight tracer battery , will that not power the zwo camera?
Do you think the 1600 is the best camera for hyperstar on the c8 ?

Yes Tracer battery might be good. How much amps do you have in it ?
And yes 1600 has good quality-price ratio these days.

There is a noncooled version but that would loose a major feature of the camera.
You can get most of the benefit of cooling by a set of -10 or -15 rather than -20. After initial cooling the power consumption drops significantly.
There are many lithium battery packs available. Check out the 12 v "starter" batteries available on Amazon and other places for about $50. Be aware that the 18 Ah rating is at 3 volts and at 12 v they provide about 5 Ah in my tests.
I have bought cheap lead acid starters at Harbor Freight at my destination and then donated them to a local Astronomy club when leaving. I have also been able to borrow equipment from local clubs at destinations.

We don't offer any batteries, but you can buy one from amazon.
