 Post subject: ASI290MC Not Installing

Good morning,

This is my first post and am very new to ZWO cameras. I have a ASI120MM-S which is installing and working fine on my HP i7 laptop via usb 3 and FireCapture. However, I received my ASI290MC this morning and cannot get the camera to install.

I have downloaded and installed the correct drivers, and it loads the USB3 AMCap software. When I plug the camera in to any port (I have 4 USB3's) the system doesn't pick it up and install anything as it did with my 120MM-s.

If I open device manager the camera is shown under "other devices" as "Westbridge". If I open it and try to update the driver, manually locating the ZWO USB3 folder etc. it just says cannot find driver for my device.

I've tried this on another PC, both running W10, and used a different USB lead also as I have had this problem before.

I'm at a bit of a loss now so would appreciate any advice you may have, or even if there is an option to reinstall firmware in the camera as to me this looks like a camera issue.

just fixed this problem through email

I just received my ASI290 MINI and am having the same problem:

I have the latest drivers installed : V3.0.0.2

What is the fix?

Hi,

I have the same issue with my ASI1600MM-Cool Camera.

I open device manager the camera is shown under "other devices" as "Westbridge".

Could somebody help me?

Hi all,
Please contact our support, Send Email to info@zwoptical.com.

We will try to remote control your computer and camera to fix this problem.
Please download a Teamviewer, and tell us your Teamviewer ID and password. We will use this software to remote control.
Beside, We need you stay with us, camera need to plugin and unplugin at least one time.

If it failed, We will thinking of sending the camera back to repair.
