Hi - using my beloved 1600MMC - all was fine, then image PAUSED as camera was no longer to temp. I checked and the cooler stopped working? Anyone else have this? (easy fix?) power was applied. LIGHT was on. USB ports were working. Camera can take photos..

WEIRD huh... how to I go about warranty repair/replace? I see it has 3 years? It's about 5 mo old.

My dealer is Highpoint scientific. I sent them a msg and no response. (so far) couple days.

I did get a msg from ZWO, but I don't like playing the lottery.

It said.

___________

Hi Ron
OK, we will fix your camera. Please shipping back the camera. Here is our shipping address. UPS, DHL, USPS, etc, all ok for us. Please tell us your tracking number.
Please ship back the camera to the following address as a personal items and declare it as webcam for only $40 to avoid unnecessary customs problems.
Please fully understand the risk of shipping, we cannot take resposibility of losing package or damage.

___________

so I can't ship it with insurance of its replacement value. = ( Only 40.00 insurance.
If it's lost - it's gone, I'm out 1200.

This is my 2nd defective ZWO camera. First one was an 071 - ZWO nicely allowed me to swap it for the 1600MMc since I feel it was a design flaw. Now, 5 months later the 1600MMc no longer cools.

Yes. The cameras temperature does not drop, fan does blow, and camera does take pictures. It smelled like something was burning. I removed it and boxed it up. I have A LOT of ZWO products. (ASI290, EFW, RGB and SHO filter set, OAG to name a few. Feeling discouraged.

Wow I didn't know ZWO founder was in here.
I was told to send it here.

Name Suzhou ZWO Co., Ltd.
Shipping address: Room 6007#, HanJia Building, DongPing Street 282#, GongYeYuanQu, SuZhou City, JiangSu Province, China, ZIP CODE:215000

4-5 months old. I hate to have a camera that's been opened, worked on, and refurbed. = (

I loved the camera. These are all the shots I've done with it so far. (not a lot of use).

thank you YES appears they're busy - they did contact me and are eager to help.
I'm awaiting a RMA.

Luckily it's NOV. Not the best time for clear skies with all the lake effect clouds in Michigan.

Can you verify what the MAX POWER input to the camera should be? I want to test my gear. I checked the power supply at it was 12.5v. How finicky is the ASI1600mmc ?
I want to be sure I don't over power it.

you won't over power it
the power consumption depends on how deep the cooler runs
the max power requirement is around 3A
so you can use one 5A adapter which can provide enough power
